SPORTICA: Journal of Sport Science and Physical Education is a peer-reviewed open-access journal that publishes high-quality research articles, reviews, and short communications in the fields of sport science, physical education, exercise, and human performance. SPORTICA welcomes manuscripts that explore a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:

Publication Frequency

SPORTICA is published two times per year (May and December).

This journal provides immediate open access to all content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to SPORTICA undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure scientific quality and integrity. Each submission is reviewed by at least two experts in the relevant field.

Copyright Notice

Authors retain the copyright of their work. However, authors grant the journal the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY) that allows others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution to the original author(s) and the journal.

Archiving Policy

SPORTICA utilizes digital preservation systems such as LOCKSS and CLOCKSS to ensure permanent accessibility and archiving of published content. The journal also maintains backup and archiving through institutional repositories and indexing databases.
