ARCHIVING POLICY

SPORTICA: Journal of Sport Science and Physical Education is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. The journal ensures that all articles remain available and accessible to readers even in the event that the journal website or publisher is no longer operational.

1. Digital Preservation Systems

To guarantee permanent access to its scholarly content, SPORTICA utilizes trusted digital archiving systems, including:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) — to ensure content preservation through distributed archiving among participating libraries.
  • CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) — to provide a secure and decentralized preservation system for long-term access.

These systems are designed to ensure that the content of the journal remains safe, authentic, and permanently available.

2. Institutional Repository

All published articles in SPORTICA are stored and backed up in the Institutional Repository of Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika and Mandalika Indonesia Institut, ensuring continued access even if the journal’s main platform experiences downtime or technical issues.

3. Indexing and Database Storage

To increase visibility and ensure discoverability, all published papers are indexed and archived in multiple scholarly databases and repositories. This guarantees that articles remain accessible and citable in the long term.

4. Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their article (submitted, accepted, and published) in:

  • Institutional repositories
  • Personal websites
  • Research networking sites (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)

provided that a link to the official publication in SPORTICA is included.
