Journal History

SPORTICA: Journal of Sport Science and Physical Education was established to provide a reputable academic platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners in the fields of sport science, physical education, and health studies. The journal was initiated by the Pustaka Mandalika Indonesia, in collaboration with Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan dan Kesehatan Masyarakat (FIKKM), Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika.

The founding vision of SPORTICA is to promote the dissemination of high-quality research and innovative practices that advance knowledge in sport science, exercise, and physical education. The journal aims to foster academic exchange and collaboration among scholars and professionals both nationally and internationally.

Since its establishment, SPORTICA has maintained a commitment to open access publishing, ensuring that all published articles are freely available to readers around the world.
The journal publishes two issues per year, in May and November, and adopts a double-blind peer review process to uphold academic rigor and publication ethics.

SPORTICA continues to evolve as a scientific forum that integrates theory, research, and practice in sport science and education, contributing to the development of physical activity, health, and well-being in society.
